I've previously discussed my idea of the Zodiac being the body of the Holy Mother in the physical universe. I like the idea, too, that Frigga Allmother knows the fates of all beings, but keeps silent about it. The Zodiac is also silent. And yet, many of us can read it without it saying a word.

Querent's mother is a longtime sufferer of COPD. She also suffered from two impinged nerves. A couple of days before this question, the mother underwent back surgery, to free those two nerves. The surgery went well. She was up and walking around the next day, and was discharged from the hospital, with a prescription for percocet, a medication containing an opioid for pain management. All was proceeding well at home. Mother took her medicine and prepared for bed as usual. During the night, she awoke with her heart pounding, and a pain in her chest. Anxiety set in, and then came shortness of breath. When the symptoms didn't immediately subside, her husband took her to the hospital. The admitting physician suspected a pulmonary embolism, that is, a blood clot in her lungs. Alternatively, some deep, internal muscle spasm as a consequence of the nerve surgery. They wanted her to sit in bed, nigh motionless, while they conducted various tests to figure out what was wrong. One of the mother's sons called me and asked me to look into things: "What is wrong with my mother? Will she die from this? Is it a blood clot in her lungs? If not, what is it?"

I looked deep into the heavens, as you can see from my picture here. I knew immediately that she would not die from this. And I also knew within a couple of minutes that it was not a blood clot, nor some after effect of surgery. She had an allergic reaction to the percocet medication:

Neither knot nor knife
Leeches her life,
But the drug that floods her blood.

Two days later, after a battery of tests, and thousands of health-care dollars later, the doctors came to the same conclusion and sent her home.

I am continually and shockingly impressed by studying with the Allmother. I have neither seen nor heard of any modern volva matching these kinds of results.

These are icons of three main gods. From left to right, as pictured: Freyr, Odin, Thor. Odin was purchased from OdinGrove (Germany, I think) on Etsy, and then the shop owner made me custom Thor, then Freyr. I like that Freyr is pictured with his Sword, and Thor with his Hammer. Odin's implement could be a staff, or his Spear. Oh, and they all have Amber for eyes (or, in Odin's case, eye).

I buy flowers for the Allmother every Monday. Today, they are white.

Sometimes, as I am looking over the bouquets at the market, I will purposefully buy a bunch that have some damaged flowers, out of tenderness of heart. If I do not buy them, likely no one will, and they will just wither in the store and be thrown away. But I give those damaged ones to the Allmother, along with their more beautiful intertwined brethren, because I know, like all mothers know, that it is possible to love perfectly even what is imperfect.

So, She and I do this together. I liberate the unloved from the market and She loves them with all of Her heart.

Loki

Loki makes sense to me, spiritually and cosmologically. By that latter, I mean that he fits within my observations of how reality operates. And as a very old school astrologer and alchemist, I know a thing or two about reality.

Loki, for me, represents the volatility and changeability principle of Mercury in the heavens. It can be demonstrably proven that Mercury is sometimes male, sometimes female, sometimes good, sometimes evil. Much depends on the circumstances in which he finds himself, and the companions around him. JUST LIKE LOKI. If Mercury joins with an evil influence, he will happily help increase the evil.

There are only three great natural evils or malefics in the heavens: Saturn, Mars, and the Waning Moon.

When Loki mates with the giantess Angrboda, he produces all three of those as his offspring.

Jormungandr, the Great Serpent with its tail in its mouth: a clear image of Saturn, which has the natural rulership of serpents.
Fenris, the ravenous Wolf: a clear image of Mars, which has the natural rulership of wolves.
Hela, Queen of the Otherworld, and Dead: a clear image of the Waning Moon, half bright, half dark, and the Moon is the natural ruler of Queens.

This view has enormous practical application in occultism. Any problem that you ever encounter in manifest existence is attributable to one of these three principles. Identify it properly, and you are halfway to knowing how to counteract it.

Saturn is a principle of coldness, limitation, delay, constriction, immobility. Ex. Disabling arthritis
Mars is a principle of fire, explosion, sudden onset, anger. Ex. Heart attack
The Waning Moon is a principle of rottingness, corruption, fetid growth. Ex. Blood infection

I have used illness examples, but any problem in any sphere of life can be analyzed by these principles.
